  1. Full Updates：指提供功能更新和增强的时间段。
  2. Maintenance Updates：指仅提供安全补丁和关键修复的时间段。
  3. CentOS 8：原计划维护至 2029 年，但由于 CentOS 项目转向 CentOS Stream，其传统支持在 2021-12-31 提前终止。
  4. CentOS Stream 是 CentOS 的新发展模式，作为 RHEL 的滚动预发布版本，不再有明确的传统生命周期。
    后面的版本和之前有很大差异，就不再详细 listing 了。

只列出 6.0 之后的版本。按版本号排序。

PS: 6.2 和 6.1 发布只间隔了 11 天。是因为 6.0 和 6.1 都是在 RHEL 发布 7、8 个月之后才发布，而 6.2 就赶上了 RHEL 进度，只延迟两周。

7.10 大概率是不会出，所以 8.5 应该是绝唱了。

以后再也没有 CentOS Linux 了。

关于 CentOS 6，7，8，9 的差异

  1. CentOS 6：
    • linux 2.6
    • sysv
  2. CentOS 7
    • linux 3.10
    • 开始使用 systemd 做默认初始化系统
    • 引入 DNF
    • packet filtering framework: iptables
  3. CentOS 8
    • linux 4.18
    • 默认安装 DNF (yum 基于 dnf)，模块化设计
    • 默认 Python 版本为 3.6
    • 默认 Wayland
    • packet filtering framework: nftables

  4. CentOS Stream 9

    • linux 5.14
